Here we describe how you can connect a PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 3 slim to your Sitecom router with a wired connection. If you don’t succeed, please consult your PlayStation 3 documentation or contact the Sony helpdesk.

1. Connect a network (UTP) cable to your router. Use a suitable LAN port. On Sitecom routers, these are the yellow ports.

2. Connect the other end of the network (UTP) cable to your PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 3 slim.

3. From your PlayStation 3 menu, select Settings.

4. Then select Network Settings.

5. Under Network Settings, select Internet Connection Settings. 

6. A message about the network cable now appears. Answer yes to this message by clicking on Enter.

7. Then select Easy and press the play button. The basic settings required for the connection are then automatically modified for you. A list of settings will be displayed. If the list does not appear, you may have to change settings in your (modem) router.

8. If the list does appear and all the steps have been gone through, you can test the connection by opening the web browser.

Done! You have connected your PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 3 slim to your network with a wired connection.
